Many of my patients are taking medication prescribed by their doctor or purchased over the counter and frequently ask about whether the herbs are safe to take alongside. As a Medical Herbalist I am trained to know which herbs I can give alongside which types of medication so there is no need for any worry. This is one of the more complicated parts of our training but is obviously extremely relevant in today's world.

That is why I ask new patients to bring names and dosage of medication they are taking to the first consultation.

Likewise I have been trained to know when a condition is best referred to a doctor.
